SINGAPORE — With the gradual lifting of containment measures for activities, Singapore Pools will resume online sports betting from Monday (June 15) and online horse wagering from Wednesday, the gambling company said in a statement on Sunday.

However, all other Singapore Pools’ outlets such as its branches, authorised retailers, Livewire venues and off-course betting centres will remain closed until further notice.

“This is in line with the Government’s phased approach for safe reopening and resumption of business activities,” it said.

All lottery draws such as 4D, Toto and the Singapore Sweep will also remain suspended till further notice.

“Customers who are holding on to tickets for postponed draws are advised to retain their tickets for the upcoming draws,” Singapore Pools said, but it did not elaborate on when these draws will be held.

Prize payments will be suspended until further notice as well. An announcement will be made for the extension of eligible prize-winning tickets for lottery draws, sports or horse racing events held between Oct 10 last year and April 5 this year.

Since the start of the circuit breaker to restrict activities on April 7, Singapore Pools had suspended all lottery draws, horse racing activities here, sports betting, as well as shut down its outlets to comply with ramped up measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.

“Singapore Pools will continue its mission to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling, which has seen rising cases during the circuit breaker,” it said.

“We thank our customers for their continued support and seek their understanding that this current offering of services is for their safety and well-being, and in alignment with the Government’s regulations and guidelines,” it added.
